1. Test steps
1) Download the system iso and burn the installation;
2) Download the driver and WebGUI of SSD7505 from https://highpoint-tech.com/USA_new/main.htm and extract it to the root directory of USB flash disk;
3) Connect Supermicro X11DPH-T motherboard, SSD7505 with 4 NVMe, Hyper-V Server 2019 system and USB flash disk containing SSD7505 driver and WebGUI to build test environment;
4) Start the system, enter the U disk directory under CMd. exe, and use instructions to install the driver and WebGUI:
- Determine the location of the driver and WebGUI
- Go to the WebGUI directory and type ’HighPoint RAID Management.exe’
- Install WebGUI
- After the installation is complete, go to the directory where the driver is located and type ’setup.exe’
- Install driver
- Restart the system after completion of installation
5) Enter cmd. exe and type ‘hptraidconf’ to enter CLI mode
6) Type instructions to perform various operations on the disk. See CLI Guide for related instructions
- View disk information
- Initialize the disk
- Create RAID0/1/10
- Format the RAID created
DISKPARTlist diskselect Disk 1cleancreate partition primaryformat fs=ntfs quick label=’D:’
- Delete RAID0/1/10
7) Uninstall the driver and WebGUI
- Go to the WebGUI installation directory and type ‘Uninstall.exe’
- Uninstall the WebGUI
- Go to the driver installation directory and type ‘uninst.exe’
- Uninstall the driver
8) Replace the motherboard and controller, use TE X570 motherboard in RR3740A, and repeat the steps in step 4) -7)
Note: RR3740 driver uninstall directory is C:\Program Files (x86)\HighPoint\rr3740a
3. Test results
SSD7505 and RR3740A can normally install and unload the driver and WebGUI on the motherboard GIGABYTE X570(AMD)、Supermicro X11DPH-T(Intel), and no error has been reported in the simple functional test of RAID.
4. Test conclusions
SSD7505 and RR3740A can be used normally on motherboard GIGABYTE X570(AMD)、Supermicro X11DPH-T(Intel).
