RocketRAID & RocketStor Driver Installation Troubleshooting Guide (Windows)
Overview
The following guide describes how to troubleshoot driver installation issues with HighPoint RocketRAID SAS/SATA Series RAID controllers and RocketStor Series RAID enclosures. For the purposes of this guide, the RocketRAID 2720A is used as the example product. However, please note that this information applies to all currently supported RocketRAID SAS/SATA controllers and RocketStor enclosures
How to Verify a RocketRAID or RocketStor Controller
- Before proceeding to troubleshoot, it is essential to confirm that the device is being properly detected by the motherboard/computing system. If it is being properly detected, the Vendor ID and Product ID will be visible when checking the Details tab of the RAID Controller’s entry in Device Manager.
Sample Procedure:
- The RR2720A is installed into one of the system’s PCIe slots.
- Power on the system and boot the Windows operating system.
3. In the Device Manager, check if the ID displayed by the RAID Controller in Other Devices is 1103 2722
