Is ASUS Z10PE-D8 WS compatible with HighPoint NVMe controllers?
Compatibility Status: Yes (it can support Bootable or Data RAID configurations)
Compatibility Report: Link
Note: The compatibility reports we provide are based on research of the target platform / motherboard, using the manufacturer’s official specifications and product documentation.
Summary: The ASUS Z10PE-D8 WS can support HighPoint SSD7000 and SSD6200 Series NVMe RAID controllers. SSD7500 series controllers can also be used with this platform, but will be unable to operate at full speed, as the system only provides PCIe 3.0 connectivity. It utilizes the Intel C612 series chipset; the 600 series chipsets are known to be compatible with HighPoint NVMe solutions. The motherboard’s BIOS includes UEFI support, and provides option ROM settings for UEFI and legacy devices meaning it can be used for bootable purposes.

1. PCIe Host Interface: PCIe 3.0 – the platform provides seven PCIe 3.0 x16 slots. Slots 2, 4, and 6 are x8 electrical. Slots 1 and 3 will switch to x8 electrical if slots 2 and 4 are in use. As this is specifically a motherboard, height requirements will depend of the case you are using. By default, Half-Height cards will be supported.
2. Boot RAID Support (NVMe arrays used to boot a system): Boot configurations are supported (the motherboard BIOS provides option ROM support for UEFI devices.
3. Data RAID Support (NVMe arrays used for data storage): There are no apparent restrictions for data RAID configurations.
