Does this SSD7000/SSD7500 series card require a driver to function, or can it be recognized as generic storage?

HighPoint SSD7000 and SSD7500 series RAID controllers are recognized as generic NVMe controllers by most modern operating systems. Drivers are not required unless you want to configure an array and/or use the WebGUI storage management software.

In general, we recommend installing the driver – our driver delivers better performance, and the WebGUI software can be used to monitor the health and status of NVMe drives, whether they are configured into RAID arrays or used independently.
