How will the SSD6200 notify me if a RAID 1 array experiences a disk failure?

When a RAID 1 array experiences a disk failure, the SSD6204/6202 will provide the following information:

 

1. RAID Status

The WebGUI will display a new icon and report the status as “Critical” under the Logical Tab (Logical Device Information):

 

Click “Maintenance” to view which disk has failed or dropped offline:

 

2. Event Notification

The WebGUI’s Event tab will display and record Warnings, Errors and Actions related to the NVMe SSD’s and RAID arrays.

The following screenshot displays two messages. The first message states “Plugging device detected. (disk at Controller1-Channel1)” – this  indicates that the SSD attached to channel/port 1 is faulty; it dropped offline and was later redetected by the SSD6204.

 

The message "Array ‘VD_0’ has been degraded" indicates that the RAID1 status is Critical.

 

3. Email Notification

You can configure the WebGUI to provide Email Notification – any events related to the NVMe SSD’s, RAID arrays or the controller will be emailed to the specified email address:
