How do I determine which AIC drive is right for my application?

FnL AIC drives are divided into sub-categories based on their feature set, performance level, and available capacity.

First, determine if you need a Bootable solution or pure Storage solution.

  • If you need a bootable solution, we recommend our BRD Series. BRD (bootable RAID) AIC Drives are universally compatible with PCIe 3.0 or 4.0 systems are available with up to 8TB of storage, deliver over 7000MB/s of transfer performance, and feature driverless, plug-and-play installation. BRD Series drives are supported natively by all modern operating systems – simply plug in the drive, and install your operating system of choice!
  • If you are looking for a pure storage drive, we recommend our SRD Series. SRD (Storage RAID) series AIC drives are versatile, high-performance storage solutions. SRD drives are available with 2-16TB of RAID storage for PCIe 3.0 and 4.0 host platforms and can deliver up to 28,000MB/s of transfer performance.

Need more? If your application needs more than 16TB of storage or performance beyond 28,000MB/s, we recommend a CRD Drive. CRD (Cross-Sync RAID) Drives were built for applications with extreme performance and capacity requirements. CRD Drives combine two or more AIC drives to act as a single, massive RAID volume.  CRD Drives are available with up to 64TB of storage capacity and can deliver transfer speeds in excess of 40,000MB/s.
