Phenomenon

Analysis

The RAID Controller isn‘t displays in Other devices or the Device ID is incorrect, causing the driver to fail to install.

Cause

  1. The motherboard doesn’t support Thunderbolt;
  2. The Thunderbolt Driver is not installed in the system or the HPT Device connection is not allowed in Thunderbolt Control Center;
  3. RAID Controller is not displayed in Device ManagerOther devices or RAID Controller Device ID is incorrect.

knowhow & workaround

  1. The motherboard must support Thunderbolt devices.
  2. Need to install Thunderbolt Driver and the Thunderbolt Control Center needs to allow HPT Device connection.
  3. When the Thunderbolt Control Center displays HPT Devices is Connected, the system will display RAID Controller in Device ManagerOther devices.
  4. The Device ID of the RAID Controller is correct.
