AMD’s NVMe RAID support must be disabled in order to use HighPoint NMe RAID controllers and enclosures. In addition, if you are using an AMD-based motherboard that supports AMD’s NVMe RAID feature, the motherboard will only be able to support up to 10 total NVMe devices, even if the AMD RAID function is disabled.

Customers that want to add a HighPoint SSD series RAID controller or FnL AIC Drive to their AMD based platform should keep this in mind.
Some HighPoint and FnL NVMe products/solutions are capable of hosting up to 8 individual NVMe SSD’s (such as the SSD7140, SSD7180, SSD7184 and SSD7540 series, or the FnL CRD7505, CRD7101 or CRD7104).
The FnL CRD7540x/CRD7140x AIC Drives are not compatible with these platforms, as they are shipped with 16 NVMe SSD’s.
