Do HighPoint NVMe RAID controllers support M.2 NVMe SSD’s with built in heat sinks?
No – our controllers were designed to support standard, M.2 NVMe SSD’s. SSD’s with heatsinks are generally designed for single use (non-RAID configurations) with a motherboard’s built-in NVMe ports.
M.2 NVMe SSD’s equipped with heat sinks will interfere with our controller’s cooling apparatus, and prevent them from properly cooling the NVMe controller hardware and/or NVMe SSD’s.
