Why does a blue screen (BSOD) appear on Windows after installing HighPoint software and restarting the system?
Answer:
The problem is blue screen (BSOD) caused by the WebGUI not being signed by Microsoft.
If the management software that you are using in Windows is earlier than version 3.0.6.2, and the secure boot of the motherboard BIOS is set to enable, it will cause this issue.
You can solve the problem with the following two solutions, we recommend you to use the first one.
1. Upgrade HighPoint RAID Management software.
First, please uninstall the old HighPoint RAID Management. Then, download and install the latest HighPoint RAID Management version in the official website.
If you can't get into the operating system, first enter safe mode to uninstall the old version or set the secure boot disable in OS.
Note: The latest management software supports both secure boot modes, enable and disable.
2. Set the secure boot in the motherboard BIOS to disable.
