What kind of hard drives are supported by RocketRAID SAS & SATA RAID controllers?
As a general rule, HighPoint RocketRAID series SAS & SATA PCIe RAID controllers can support any non-desktop class hard disk drive. This includes Enterprise, NAS, and Surveillance class hard drive models.
Desktop drives were not designed for use with RAID configurations, and are not compatible with RocketRAID controller cards.
Which operating system platforms and are compatible with RocketRAID controllers?
RocketRAID series 12Gb/s and 6Gb/s SAS/SATA controller cards are compatible with most current operating system platforms. This includes macOS Big Sur, Windows 10, and Server 2019. In addition, we provide downloads for specific Linux distributions and an open source package for each product series.
Which motherboards are compatible with RocketRAID controllers?
RocketRAID series 12Gb/s and 6Gb/s SAS/SATA controller cards can be used with nearly any off-the-shelf motherboard with industry-standard PCIe 2.0/3.0 slots (an available x4 or x8 physical slot will be required, depending on the specific product model).
