You can check the status of the RAID array using the HighPoint’s CLI or WebGUI Management Software.


1. Logical tab

This tab provides information about hosted RAID configurations. The Status column reports the overall condition of the array:

 

CLI Command – you can use the following command to check the status of the RAID array:

HPT CLI> query arrays

 


2. Event tab (WebGUI) / Event Log (CLI)

The Event log records any event associated with RAID arrays and hosted drives. The term “Event” can refer to an error, status change, or action:


 

 3. Error Alarm

RAID controllers and enclosures equipped with an audible alarm will emit a warning signal in the event of a disk failure. This option can be disabled or enabled under the Setting tab.

 


4. Email Notification

The WebGUI and CLI can be configured to send email messages whenever an event, warning or error is recorded to the Event Log. To configure Email Notification, access the Settings tab:
