Q: What causes the alarm buzzer to sound? How do I turn it off?
A: When the RAID is degraded or the disk is detached, the buzzer will sound.
The Alarm (aka “Beeper”) is controlled by an MCU, and can only be disabled using the OOB (Out-of-Band) port. The WebGUI and CLI tools cannot directly communicate with the MCU.
For more information on how to use the OOB, please refer to SSD6200 & SSD6200A Series Management Guide -- Using the OOB (out of band) RAID Management Section.
