Why can 3rd party RAID arrays not be moved directly to HighPoint RAID Products?

Arrays created with 3rd party RAID controllers will not be recognized by HighPoint RAID solutions and vice-versa. In general, each manufacturer’s RAID technology is proprietary and will only work with that manufacturer’s product lines.
